Living Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church

At Living Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that putting Jesus first in our lives and thinking of others before ourselves is the recipe for finding true joy.

Are you searching for joy? We invite you to join us as we study the Bible, pray, and praise, “for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)

What's Happening

Our Living Hope

Community

Our eclectic, multicultural church family embraces people from all walks of life. Saskatchewan farmers, University employees, young families, retirees, and everyone in-between look forward to welcoming you!

We’re big enough for you to make new friends yet small enough to be valued as an individual.

We’re big enough for you to experience a variety of worship styles and presentations, yet small enough for you to get involved and share your God-given talents in a safe and inclusive environment.

Our Beliefs

The Seventh-Day Adventist church is a scripture-based denomination which accepts the Bible as the only foundation for their faith. Building on the work of the Reformers and Protestant churches, the church identifies 28 fundamental beliefs, which outline their understanding of God and His truth. These beliefs cover six main categories: Who is God?, What is Man?, What is Salvation?, The Role of the Church, Daily Christian Life, and Last-Day Events.

While we share many of our beliefs with other Christian churches, one that distinguishes us is our keeping of the Seventh-Day Sabbath. This period from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday is a reminder of Creation and an institution that reaches back to the Garden of Eden when “God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” (Genesis 2:3) Seventh-Day Adventists keep this memorial as a sign of our faith, and a celebration of all God has done for humanity.

Our Pastor

Pastor Tammy Owen

“Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian. What a foundation you stand on now: the apostles and the prophets; and the cornerstone of the building is Jesus Christ himself!” Ephesians 2:19-20

Tammy Owen is the Pastor of Living Hope SDA Church. She has a passion for preaching the love of Jesus Christ and seeing lives transformed by Him.

She and her husband, Stacey , currently have 5 kids at home. The whole family enjoys camping in their trailer by glistening lakes (tho most often campmeetings) and we all greatly enjoy the creative arts; from theater to choir to painting to sewing to woodworking to drawing . . . they are happiest creating.

She loves to laugh and remembers your name! You will feel loved by God, inspired and empowered to do what God has called you to do when you hear Tammy speak.

Pastor Tammy and Stacey invite you and your family to join us for a Sabbath experience at Living Hope SDA Church here in Saskatoon. You will find a warm welcome, cozy biblical discussion and a message that will encourage you.

Get Involved

If you feel that Living Hope is the church for you, we would love for you to get involved. By attending regularly, it will be easier for us to get to know each other. That way, when you share your interests, you can be directed to the department leader(s) that can facilitate your desire to share your God-given talents within our church.

For Kids and Youth

Each Saturday at 10am there are Sabbath School classes for youth and children, on the third Saturday of each month we host a Children’s program for ages 4 – 10. During the week, ages 10 – 15 can join our Pathfinder’s Club, and twice a month there is a teen gym night for ages 12 and up!
